2020 CPA Conference: Evidence-Based Treatment of the Roman Catholic Family: Furthering the New Evangelization
Length: 1.5 Hours

The field of psychology has produced evidence-based treatments meant to further God’s will through healing and strengthening both marriage and family. Evidence-based treatments have yet to integrate Roman Catholic doctrine. This workshop will present evidence-based interventions, consistent with Roman Catholic formation of marriage, family, and parenting.

Learning Objectives:

  • To describe characteristics and evidence-based treatment of the Christian marriage and effective parenting, as consistent with tenets of Roman Catholic formation.
  • To apply interventions to treat factors that function to maintain the difficulties in the marriage and family, including patient-specific factors.
  • To integrate marriage and parenting treatment in order to maximize treatment response.
