Psychosexual Assessment in Evaluation and Treatment Planning
Description:
This workshop will review the best practices in the assessment, interviewing, and integration of psychosexual material into effective interventions, recommendations, and treatment planning. Special populations presenting for formation discernment will be explored, and unique considerations will be clarified. The attendee will also be equipped with a framework for the process to maximize the accuracy of data collection and the translation of that information to other stakeholders in the formation or treatment process.

Learning Objectives:
Shannon Mullen, Ph.D., CSAT-S, is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist and Supervisor by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. She has more than 20 years of experience in assessment and treatment and is considered an expert in sexual behavior and trauma recovery. Dr. Mullen is EMDR trained and an IFS therapist (level II). She regularly teaches and supervises other professionals in this work. Additionally, Dr. Mullen is a regular consultant for religious organizations and houses of formation within the Catholic Church in the assessment and treatment of addiction and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Mullen is the former Chair of the CPA Ethics Committee and lead author of the CPA Ethics Code (2023). She currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association.
