A Developmental-Exploratory Approach to Adolescent Sexual Identity from a Catholic Perspective

Description:
There is a need to address and understand the worldview of Catholic Christians in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. While evidence-based practice is often treatment of choice, it has not always been sensitive to religious needs. Inference based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) is a treatment for OCD. Using Catholic Anthropology, and with sensitivity for religious and spiritual concerns, it can be tailored for the Catholic Christian. In this program, fundamentals of ICBT, contrast to Exposure and Response Prevention and Acceptance and Commitment therapy are presented. Application and components of ICBT for Scrupulosity are demonstrated, and guidelines for families are addressed.
