My background is in nursing and I retired in February, 2024 as owner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at In His Image Psychiatry in Irving, Tx.  I have a PhD and MTS. I collaborate with my patients and other disciplines in a holistic view of the human person as composed of mind, body and spirit. I have knowledge of all types of DSM5 diagnoses, and provide diagnoses as I weigh brain-based needs r/t empiric tested pathophysiology. I have recently begun to work with those who need help discerning between demonic activity vs brain pathophysiology,  I also believe the best approach to full recovery is a combination of medications and therapy. My practice is rooted in Catholic anthropology ascribing to Thomistic views of the emotions and the application of affirmation therapy per the Baars' and Terruwe model. I was an associate clinical professor at UT Arlington where I was director of the Psych Nurse Practitioner program. I retired from teaching in 2015 and opened my private practice in 2015. I served as secretary and treasurer on the board of the CPA and currently am volunteering on the communications committee.I am an active Secular Franciscan and minister of Immaculata fraternity in Colleyville and spiritual assistant for St Clare fraternity in Crowley. I have a Masters in Theological studies and am currently enrolled in the Encounter Ministry's two year certification program. My husband and I have been married fir 48 years. We have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. We are active members of St Ann Catholic Church in Coppell.
