Jesus commanded us to love our enemies. He never stated that those enemies are only external to us. So many of us live in conflict with inner enemies -- parts of us who carry difficult thoughts, emotions, body sensations, or urges that we either dislike or, if acted upon, violate Catholic morality. My first Master's degree was in theological studies, and I am a Level-1 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. I enjoy working with Catholic clients and helping them love their inner enemies and bring healing to hurt parts of themselves. Radiant Heart Counseling, my private practice, is part-time, and my main job is in college mental health at a Catholic university. I work with adults aged 18 + and am telehealth-only.
