Services

I offer in-person and telehealth psychotherapy to individuals living in Florida and all PsyPact-participating states (click https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap to check which states). I specialize in working with Catholic-Christian clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and trauma/PTSD.

I offer a warm, collaborative, and gently challenging therapeutic relationship in which my clients can find relief from their symptoms, get to know themselves at a deeper level, and relate to others more openly.

I approach therapy mainly from an attachment-based and relational framework, called “psychodynamic therapy.” In this approach, I help my clients:

  1. identify and express their thoughts and feelings more fully
  2. explore the ways in which they intentionally and unintentionally avoid difficult issues
  3. identify recurring patterns and key themes that replay throughout their lives
  4. gain greater understanding of and control over their characteristic ways of interacting with others
  5. to live more fully in line with their chosen goals and values

I also offer psychological testing for educational purposes, diagnosis, and specialize in providing evaluations for aspiring clergy/religious.

Biography

I obtained my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Institute for the Psychological Sciences, Divine Mercy University in Arlington, VA in 2020.

I have worked in a variety of treatment settings including residential and outpatient substance use facilities, a university-based outpatient clinic, a community mental health center, and group private practice. I completed my doctoral internship at Kansas State University Counseling Services, an APA-accredited internship. I completed my postdoctoral training at Sacred Ground Psychotherapy and Morningstar Counseling & Consultation in Lincoln, NE with a focus on individual, depth-oriented psychodynamic psychotherapy. Currently, I am the owner of Deeper Roots Psychological Services and an adjunct Psychology faculty member at Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, FL.
