Description:
Self psychology, originally developed by Heinz Kohut in the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionized the understanding and treatment of narcissistic personality disorder. It has since further developed and is valuable for understanding and treating a wide range of issues. This seminar will present a brief yet deep overview of self psychology, with emphasis on the meaning and role of the self, the developmental framework, the role of self-objects, the different forms of transference, the role of empathy, the process of healing, and the integration with the Catholic faith.
This is the first of two cohort group discussions focusing on the webinar presented by Dr. Greg Kolodziejcak on 9/05/24. The second cohort group discussion will be hosted on Thursday, September 26th. These discussions are open and free to all CPA members. No CEs will be offered at this cohort group discussion.
