Description

Description:
Self psychology, originally developed by Heinz Kohut in the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionized the understanding and treatment of narcissistic personality disorder. This seminar will present a brief yet deep overview of self psychology, with emphasis on the meaning and role of the self, the developmental framework, the role of self-objects, the different forms of transference, the role of empathy, the process of healing, and the integration with the Catholic faith.

There will be two cohort group discussions about this presentation. The first will be on Thursday, September 12th and the second will be on Thursday, September 26th. Both cohort discussions will be open and free to all CPA members.
