Description:
Do you ever feel like your couples block traction?
You're using your best moves to help your couples make sense of the chaos that happens between them in their toughest moments, but just as you try to come in close and reach for something vulnerable, you get blocked. Your couple seems to get caught in their story again and again, and you leave session feeling defeated.
Using a faith-integrated Emotionally Focused (EFT) approach, this workshop will help you lean into blocks as therapeutic gold. We'll talk about what triggers a block, what function blocks serve in attachment relationships and, most importantly, what you can do as a block comes alive to help your couples get the most out of your sessions, and ultimately experience deeper vulnerability and unity with one another.
*Disclaimer: This workshop is designed to offer a transtheoretical skill, to help clinician grow their focus and work more effectively. Fidelity to Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and/or experience with couples is not required to benefit.

I am a Certified EFT Therapist and ICEEFT approved Supervisor Candidate trained to work with adults via individual and couples therapy. I am licensed in Texas and Nebraska, as well as certified to provide teletherapy to all PSYPACT affiliated states (https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap). I love what I do, which is fueled by my passion for accompanying my clients through the sadness and fears of confronting unprocessed pain, the excitement of progressing in small and big ways, and the feeling of victory at the end of treatment. It is an honor to be a part of this process and to share the sacred ground where healing can occur.
