Fr. David Songy O.F.M.Cap., S.T.D., Psy.D.
Capuchin Province of Saint Conrad
Rev. David Songy, O.F.M. Cap., S.T.D., Psy.D., serves as Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Province of St. Conrad. A clinical psychologist and author of Spiritual Direction for Priestly Celibacy, he is the former President and CEO of Saint Luke Institute, an intensive treatment center for Roman Catholic priests and religious, which also provides counseling, educational, psychological and spiritual assessment, and consultation services to clergy, religious, and laity. Fr. Songy previously served as spiritual director and prefect of studies at Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary in Denver, Colorado. He was director of counseling services at the Pontifical North American College in Rome and held several positions at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary. Fr. Songy holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of Denver and a doctorate in sacred theology from the Teresianum, the Pontifical Institute of Spirituality in Rome. He is an international speaker on topics such as priestly spirituality, formation in celibate chastity, and healthy sexual integration and affective maturity.
