Mother Mary Christa Nutt, RSM, Ph.D


Mother Mary Christa is a member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan. She entered religious life with a bachelor’s degree in history and English, and earned a baccalaureate, a license of Sacred Theology, and a doctoral degree in Moral Theology at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum) in Rome as a religious sister. She has taught Thomistic philosophy and theology at the North American College, to the postulants and novices of her own Institute, and as an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s College in Maine and is the author of Free for Christ: Religious Obedience and Thomistic Moral Theology. Mother Mary Christa presently serves as the Superior General of her Institute.
